Next 30 Days cool and mixed

A cool if not cold outlook for the next 30 days with some windy weather at times. In summary Ireland can expect a bit of everything as the Atlantic remains quite mobile but with the Jetstream a little further South than would be normally the case temperatures will remain quite low at times and on the odd occasion snow will be a risk especially on high ground and in the North.

There will also be a lot of windy and wet days too as active low pressure systems move close to or over Ireland and the North and West will again be most at risk from these.

Of the dry days there is a slight downside to this too as there will be frosty nights with the Jetstream so far South.

Mild weather will not really be a feature of the weather but on a few occasions like the week before Christmas and perhaps the New Year it may be quite mild with temperatures into double figures.

Dry at first

Dry and warm for the first half of September with temperatures in the low 20s and high teens in the first and second weeks. Then in the 3rd week a bit of a change as Low pressure takes over once more and thereafter there will be showery days until the end of the month.

Warm and Unsettled

The weather remains changeable for the next 30 days with a lot more in the way of rain or showers but also some warm sunshine too as temperatures for August will continue to be above expectations. A cool and unsettled August was predicted here at weathergossip but the position of the Low pressure to the West of Irelands Shore has ensured that warmer Southerlies are streaming up over us. This will continue to be the case until the last week of August when some cooler weather may start to push in once again. Strangely despite all the rain August could well turn out to be the warmest in 6 years in some places.

Cool and Unsettled

The weather for the next 30 days is basically cool and unsettled with showers or longer outbreaks of rain at times. Temperatures are going to be below average overall in the period by 1 to 2c and rainfall again will be above normal by 20 or 30%. All parts of Ireland will see heavy rain with perhaps the Southern half seeing most of it. Towards the end of August there is a possibility of some more warm weather with temperatures in the 20s for a few days at least.

30 Day Forecast More of the Same

Well the weather has been very unsettled to start this Summer and it looks set to remain that way right into July. Some supercell thunderstorms have formed and there has been a lot of flooding and high rainfall in all parts of Ireland with only the very North of the country escaping the worst of it. The weather will not be as bad in the coming weeks but showery days will be the order. However there will be a few pleasant days too when the temperature will climb to 20 or 21c. It is unlikely we will see temperatures of near 28c that we saw at the end of May again this Summer.

Warm to start then Thundery

warm this end to May for Ireland
Warm weather looks likely to start the period with temperatures getting up to the mid 20s in some parts of Ireland but then they will drop back to the High teens around the start of June. Thereafter it will be quite thundery but warm and there will be heavy rain especially in more Southern and Eastern parts of Ireland. The North and the West may see more in the way of sunshine for the first week of June. Temperatures for June will be higher than they have been all year and the month will certainly have an overall average temperature of above average. In the normal run of things in June we would get temperatures during the day of between 15 and 18c but this year it looks like the temperature will be around 16 to 20c a lot of the time and in any prolonged sunshine even higher. A lot of the weather in the next 30 days in Ireland is going to come from the South and East of the country so more of a continental feel to the weather even when it is wet but at the moment the first week of the period is looking very nice indeed and if you were to pinpoint the best periods of weather it would seem that May 23rd to May 27th will see a lot of warm sunny weather for Ireland and also June 7th to June 10th looks good at the moment.

Dry Start to May then Cool

The next few days are going to be dry a lot of the time with most of the rain in the East. As the month of May moves on the rain will become more widespread. All the time temperatures will be quite low for the time of year continuing the cold spring weather.

Dry Weather on the Way

A lot of dry weather is on the way according to the latest weather charts for March though there is some doubt as to whether it will last past mid-month. Temperatures could get up as high as 17 or 18c depending on wind direction and sunshine amounts. Later on in the month things go downhill a bit as the more unsettled weather returns but high pressure will be nearby.
